LASER SURVEYING and "BIG DATA"

CFT professionals provide a complete range of services for planning and executing Laser Surveying and Scanning projects.  The first step in digital model creation for reverse engineering involves the use of 3D Laser Scanning of aircraft systems and facilities including exterior, interior compartments, equipment racks, wiring and modular electronics.

Planning involves the layout of the scenes, camera placement and scanner setup for both interior and exterior point cloud capture. Point Cloud data then can be used for Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) Presentation. Typically the use cases include part visualization, personnel training and VR or AR walkthroughs. The Point Cloud for the use cases often includes millions or even billions of points of data. Our team has cultivated an expertise in utilizing such "Big Data" in practical solutions for our clients.

CFT also provides support for developing documentation for new parts and assemblies as well as creation of 3D models from legacy 2D drawings. 3D Mesh part models can also be used to produce 2D Drawings for Publication of Technical Data Packages. 3D Mesh models can be converted to native CAD Solid and Surface Models in a variety of formats
